Our Editorial Mission
MySupportHub publishes independently researched content about credit cards, banking products, and personal finance in India. Our goal is to help readers make informed financial decisions using verified, up-to-date information - not to drive applications for the sake of earning commissions.
This policy explains how we research, write, fact-check, and update content, and how we manage the relationship between editorial coverage and commercial partnerships.
1. Research Standards
Every article published on MySupportHub begins with primary source research:
- Official bank communications- We read MITC (Most Important Terms & Conditions) documents, official fee schedule PDFs, and bank-issued notifications before writing about any product benefit or fee.
- RBI circulars and guidelines - Regulatory changes that affect credit card holders (interest rate caps, billing cycle rules, EMI disclosures) are tracked from the RBI website directly.
- Bank customer care confirmation- For ambiguous benefit terms, we call or email the bank's customer care to seek written clarification before publishing.
- Calculations verified independently - All reward point earn rates, cashback percentages, and spend-linked benefit thresholds are calculated manually before inclusion in an article.
2. Writing Standards
- We write in plain language. We avoid banking jargon where a simpler alternative exists.
- We include specific numbers - fees, earn rates, caps, thresholds - rather than vague descriptions.
- Articles include spend examples with actual rupee amounts so readers can judge value for their own situation.
- We do not write puff pieces. If a product has significant drawbacks, we say so clearly.
- We do not use speculative language (e.g., “might offer,” “could give”) unless a product is in beta or officially unconfirmed - in which case we label it as such.
3. Fact-Checking Process
Before publishing, every article is checked for:
- Accuracy of all fees, rates, and benefit terms against the current official source
- Correct product eligibility criteria (income, credit score, employment type)
- Accurate description of reward redemption methods and point valuations
- Correct identification of which spends are excluded from rewards
- Accurate representation of welcome offers and milestone benefits
4. Update Policy
Credit card benefits, annual fees, and reward structures change frequently. We update articles under the following conditions:
- A bank officially announces changes to a product we have reviewed
- A reader reports information that appears outdated or incorrect
- Our own monitoring identifies a change in published terms
When an article is updated, the “Updated” date shown below the article title is changed. Significant changes to content are noted in the article body. We do not silently change facts without updating this date.
5. Commercial Relationships & Independence
MySupportHub earns revenue through two sources:
- Affiliate commissions - When readers apply for a product through a link on our site, we may earn a referral fee from the bank or issuer at no cost to the reader.
Neither of these revenue sources influences our editorial decisions. Specifically:
- We do not accept payment to write positive reviews of any product.
- We do not charge banks or financial institutions to be featured or ranked.
- Advertisers have no editorial input or review rights over our content.
- If we have an affiliate relationship with a product we review, this is disclosed in the article and in our Disclaimer.
6. Corrections Policy
We are committed to accuracy. If you identify an error in any of our articles - an incorrect fee, an outdated benefit, or a factual mistake - please contact us at hello@mysupporthub.in. Include the article URL and the specific error. We will investigate and, if confirmed, correct the article within 48 hours.
7. YMYL Compliance
Personal finance content is classified by Google as YMYL (“Your Money or Your Life”) - content where inaccurate information could harm readers financially. We take this responsibility seriously.
All content on MySupportHub is written by individuals with direct, hands-on experience researching Indian financial products. We do not publish content that has not been reviewed for factual accuracy. We clearly disclose that our content is informational and not a substitute for advice from a registered financial adviser.
